A Blueprint for Thinking (video/audio tapes)by R.C. SproulLigonier MinistriesIn five 30-minute messages, Dr. R.C. Sproul addresses the most important questions of all: “How do I know what is true?”, “What is real?”, “Who is God?”, “What is man?”, and “What is right and wrong?”. While Sproul uses the correct vocabulary (“epistemology,” “metaphysics,” etc.) he explains the meanings of terms in language and with illustrations clear enough for teens to understand. This series bridges the gap between basic Bible study and seminary training, dealing with crucial issues in a manner that is accessible to older teens and adults. Sproul uses numerous illustrations and stories that enliven his presentations and bring the issues down to a level where we can see what this has to do with everyday living. The visual impact of the video presentations is undeniably stronger than the audio, but the audio tapes don’t miss anything essential as far as I can tell. The study guide is excellent. For each of the five sections there are relevant quotations, pre-listening questions to alert listeners to key points, discussion questions, personal response questions, lesson summaries, and an outline of the tape lecture. This series can be foundational for a study of worldviews and Christian living.
