The VocabuLearn series includes French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or German. For each language, there are 12 CDs, with nine hours of listening total for each set.

Within each set are 3 levels of difficulty, and there are listening guide booklets for each level--three guides per set. Booklets have a complete transcript of the CDs with a few additional notes.

Sets are designed for vocabulary development rather than as foundational language programs. CDs feature over 7500 commonly used words and expressions from the selected languages, presented bilingually with the English translation. Some of the lessons are set to classical music. These are very easy to listen to because of both the music and the high-quality presentation.

This is definitely junior high/high school level rather than younger because of its grammatical focus. Lessons are divided up into presentations focusing on singular nouns, plural nouns, adjectives, adverbs, conjunctions, numbers, etc.

These sets will work well alongside most foreign language programs for reinforcement. They might also offer students using a text-only course an opportunity to hear the spoken language.
