There are three different types of books within the Easy Grammar publications:

Daily Guided Teaching & Review for Grade 2
Easy Grammar Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, and Grade 6, and Easy Grammar Plus
Daily Grams Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6, Grade 7, and Jr./Sr. High

Daily Guided Teaching & Review for Grade 2 is a fairly comprehensive book covering capitalization, punctuation, alphabetizing, dictionary work, parts of speech, prefixes/roots/suffixes, synonyms, homonyms, antonyms, rhymes, and sentence combining. This level needs to be taught rather than used for mostly independent work as with the other books.

Easy Grammar, as the title implies, is easy to use for both student and teacher. Books all have similar worktext formats, but they progress in difficulty at each level. It's simpler in both instruction and exercises than programs such as A Beka's. Students mark parts of speech with underlining, circling, and other notations rather than diagramming. Other than the preposition game at the beginning of some of the books and maybe a few other lessons, students should be able to work independently through Easy Grammar. Teacher's editions have overprinted student answers. All books included unit reviews and tests plus cumulative reviews and tests. Books are very repetitive from year to year, so I would suggest using one of these no more than once every two years.

Daily Grams are great for the in between years to keep grammar skills sharp. These assume prior instruction in concepts has already happened. They use a simple, page-a-day format with exercises in capitalization, punctuation, general review, and sentence combining. Students work on these pages independently. Answers are at the back of each book.
