DVD's are the mainstay of this geometry course featuring Professor James Noggle as he presents a very traditional approach to geometry using an easel and a blackboard. He begins with definitions and quickly moves into logic and proofs, which he uses throughout the course. DVD's contain 30 lessons.

Along with the DVD's, you receive two booklets outlining each lesson and listing definitions, abbreviations, theorems, and postulates. You also get a workbook containing both student work pages and answer key. The workbook has only 67 pages of actual problem solving, so it is not comparable to the amount of work students would do in a textbook. Workbooks are not reproducible, so you will need to buy extras for additional students.

The DVD's cover a comprehensive geometry course including an introduction to trigonometry, but there is not enough practice for a stand-alone course. Another problem is that there is no index to easily find previously covered concepts. Consequently, I view this as a supplement for the student using a traditional geometry text who can benefit from a teacher's presentation. The presentation is straightforward and well organized, and it also includes some practical application.
