Matter and Motion in God’s Universe

You should first read the review of Science: Order and Reality. Matter and Motion is the sequel to Science: Order and Reality, use both books to provide a thorough introduction to various areas of science at junior high level. While Matter and Motion seems to lack the humorous touches of Order and Reality, it is still an improvement over the previous edition, primarily because it has been simplified to keep students from being overwhelmed by too much detailed information. Like Order and Reality, questions are much improved with the inclusion of "Thought Provokers."

While there are some experiments within the student text, the Curriculum with Lab Demonstrations covers much more. Topics covered in Matter and Motion include astronomy, motion, birds (including bird watching), magnetism, electricity, and creation versus evolution. You will want the teacher edition for the student text. You might also want to purchase the Student Activities and Reviews booklet and/or the tests and quizzes booklet plus the companion answer key to each.

This book is more than one hundred pages shorter than Order and Reality since it is intended to be used for only one semester. The second semester is set for use of A Beka's eighth-grade health text, Let's Be Healthy.
